The brainstorming session between the board members of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Industry, Mine and Trade of East Azerbaijan and Dr. Fatehi Far, the esteemed president of Sahand University of Technology, took place on Monday, January 8, 2024. The meeting was held in the conference hall of the Shahid Rajaee building at Sahand University of Technology, with various university officials and managers in attendance.
At this meeting, Dr. Fatehi Far highlighted the serious challenges the industrial sector faces, including a shortage of technicians and issues surrounding resource provision, due to a declining number of students in technical and engineering fields, which will lead to a workforce shortage in the industry in coming years. The President of Sahand University of Technology emphasized the need to assess the needs of the industrial sector, benefit from the innovative thinking and insight of young managers, and utilize the scientific capabilities of elites to address the current challenges in the industry of the province.
Dr. Masoud Hakimi, the chairman of the board of the Young Entrepreneurs Association, in response to the issues raised, expressed hope for a leading industry and discussed the potential conversion of elite potential into actual capabilities through cooperation between the Young Entrepreneurs Association and the university. He also discussed plans to create the necessary environment to optimally use existing capacities.
Dr. Soulmaz Alipour, a board member of the association, appreciated Dr. Fatehi Far’s efforts, cooperation, and assistance in enhancing the productivity of the relationship between the house and the industrialists with the university. She called for strategic and systematic thinking for the problems raised by the industrialists and the provision of tangible services in the implementation phase, stating that, given the current conditions, the responsibility of the house and university is significantly greater than in previous years.14:35
